The Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies and the Department of International and European law at KU Leuven are organizing a Joint Doctoral Seminar entitled “Building Diplomacy: EU Delegations in Theory and Practice” on Friday 8 July 2016 from 12:00 to 15:00.
Here is the gist of the announcement:
This joint doctoral seminar consists of two presentations that will discuss topical and critical issues related to Delegations of the European Union and their practice. The first presentation inquires into the legal status of the so-called “establishment agreements” that the EU has concluded with a great number of third countries with a view to ensuring the diplomatic status of its Delegations. The second presentation discusses the Union Delegations’ activities in EU development policy from a theoretical and practical perspective.
Registration: Participation is free, but registration is required as food and beverages will be provided. Please confirm your attendance by 6 July 2016 at ggs.conference@kuleuven.be.
The full announcement, which includes abstracts for both presentations, is available here.
